What sits inside every APAGARD tube
Nano-hydroxyapatite instead of fluoride
The active ingredient is Sangi's own nano-hydroxyapatite, nano-mHAP, first synthesized by the company in 1978. It is the building block of tooth enamel, and every tube in this range is fluoride-free.
Concentration marks the formula
M-Plus is the standard tube and the longest-selling of the range. Premio raises the share of the active ingredient, and Royal carries the highest content in the series, twice that of the standard tube.
Slow brushing is part of the method
The instruction on the tube asks for 1 to 1.5 cm of paste and three to five minutes of brushing, gently but meticulously, rinsing lightly afterwards so the residue stays in the mouth. It is a different routine from a thirty-second scrub.
A tube for each job
Stain removal has its own non-abrasive formula aimed at tobacco, tea, coffee and red wine. Renamel is built for home use after clinical cleaning, bleaching or orthodontic work, and adds xylitol, PEG and PVP.
What is in the paste and how to use it
One ingredient defines the range: nano-hydroxyapatite, the material teeth are largely made of, synthesized by Sangi in 1978 and sold under the name nano-mHAP. Royal adds liquid conchiolin, an ingredient from pearl, and keeps abrasives to a minimum or leaves them out altogether. Renamel brings xylitol, PEG and PVP alongside the maximum level of nano mHAP in the range.
None of these tubes contains fluoride, and the brand states it plainly on the pack. If a dentist has asked for a fluoride paste, this is not the range to switch to.
Brushing is the part people get wrong. Place a small amount, 1 to 1.5 cm, on the brush. Brush teeth and gums gently but meticulously for about 3-5 minutes, ideally after each meal, three times a day. Rinse lightly and spit out after brushing rather than washing everything away, so what remains keeps working. Renamel adds a second round: brush once, spit, apply more paste and brush again.

Every day, for the whole family
M-Plus is the tube most households end up with: mild mint, 125 or 130 grams, and the formula that has been in the range longest. Buy it in twos or threes if more than one person brushes with it.
Coffee in the morning, wine in the evening
The stain-removal tubes are aimed at exactly that: marks from tobacco, tea, coffee and red wine, lifted by a non-abrasive formula rather than by scrubbing. Smoker Care covers the same ground in a two-tube set.
After the dentist's chair
Renamel is the home-care tube, made for the weeks after mechanical cleaning, bleaching or orthodontic work. It carries the maximum level of nano mHAP in the range and asks for the double brushing routine.
When you want the strongest formula
Royal holds the highest nano mHAP content in the series, twice that of the standard tube, with liquid conchiolin from pearl and almost no abrasives. It is the 135 gram tube at the top of the range.
About the APAGARD range
APAGARD is the toothpaste line built around nano-hydroxyapatite by Sangi, the Japanese company that first synthesized the material in 1978. The whole range runs on that one ingredient, and the tubes differ by how much of it they carry and what else is mixed in.
